the meeting
This week has started with a blast! First, I had my orientation sessions and the team building session (which was boring and pretty much useless IMO). From the sessions, I realised all the great things J&J can offer you, all the great corporate discounts staff members can get with both internal (staff shop for J&J products, so if anyone needs baby powder, etc, tell me!) and externally. Let me elaborate on externally! Apparently, we get corporate rates for private health insurance, purchasing a car for private use, etc.... Anyways, those days were action packed and just drained me full stop! Yesterday, we had numerous team meetings to discuss projects, resource allocation, etc. I would have been so lost if I had not come from a pharma background and from all the skills I've gained from my previous workplace, I can really start to feel its importance. Without it, my manager wouldn't have been so impressed with my draft report... She got me to get up and explain the crux of it... (more)

John Mackay (WSWS) explains, "Hinzman joined the US Army in early 2001, partly out of a sense of patriotism and adventure. However, he was primarily attracted by the promise of financial support for a university education. He says that more than a year after joining, he realized that he could not become a killer.
